![]() ![]() The Ohio is the solution to a problem that doesn't exist. This ship is worse than the Großer Kürfurst, and I didn't think anything could be worse than that thing. But as soon as I started playing the Ohio, I realized all my hard work was wasted. I had big expectations of this ship, since I already own the Thunderer and love it dearly, and have a similar love for the Georgia. I just finished the long regrinds to get enough points to get the Ohio. It's more than they don't believe there is enough demand to warrant the infrastructure upgrades and time/costs involved. No surprises here, you know what this is about. All your stuff is stored server side, not on your computer. I do think it'd be cool if you could log into different servers to play and be able to transfer your assets/ships etc, but that would require lots of information crossing between servers - so that's why that won't happen. I'm probably spoiled by having such fantastic internet for my area for many years now, but either way, I don't want any lag. I wouldn't do an FPS game at more than 50 myself. It isn't for everyone, but it is for some, including me. I've played FPS' fine with ~200 and been fine, so I'm aware experience plays a part but that's also why I don't think it'll even be too noticeable, nevermind an actual effect. Most players already have good internet anyways, and it's not an FPS or racing game, or anything else that requires very low ping. It would be nice to play with friends from areas, but not nice enough I'd be willing to give up my connection :) I'm used to my 25-35 ping and don't want an increase. ![]() ![]() Now, my opinion: I have ~150 ping to Asia and about that to Europe. You may not think it's an issue, but it is to some. Asia would have bad connection everywhere.
